Burns cottage was built by his father and is now part of the excellent Robert Burns Birthplace Museum which houses a collection of Burns important writings, a café, shop and the kids will enjoy the Burns themed adventure playground.
Culzean Castle, managed by the national trust for Scotland, lies on the cliff tops just 12 miles south of Ayr. President Eisenhower was granted the right to stay in Culzean castle whenever he wished, you can visit the apartments he used or rent his rooms for an overnight stay. The castle grounds cover more than 568 acres of countryside and gardens.
Heads of Ayr farm park is a top-rated family attraction with plenty of fun activities for kids. There are a number of water attractions including bumper boats, waterslides and water guns.
